About Vienna Road Signs

The 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals harmonized the shapes, colors and pictograms of traffic signs across dozens of countries, from red prohibitive circles to blue motorway directions. The United States kept its own manual, one of the few large countries to do so.
