Morse Code
About Morse Code
The dot and dash telegraph code standardized internationally in 1865, descending from the system Samuel Morse used for the 1844 Washington to Baltimore line. The 1906 Berlin convention set the SOS distress signal. The ITU still maintains it, and licensed operators keep it alive.
