sRGB
About sRGB
The color space Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft proposed in 1996 and IEC standardized in 1999 as IEC 61966-2-1. It defines primaries shared with Rec. 709 and a transfer curve near a 2.2 gamma. It is the assumed default of the web, of JPEG files without profiles and of every untagged image, making it the lingua franca of screens.
