ISO C Standard
About ISO C Standard
ISO/IEC 9899 defines the C programming language, first standardized by ANSI in 1989 and by ISO in 1990. Dennis Ritchie created C at Bell Labs in 1972 for Unix. The standard evolves through editions named C99, C11, C17 and C23, still powering operating systems and embedded devices everywhere.
